The Bay of Plenty
Rugby Union today announced the ticket prices for the 2008 Air New Zealand Cup.
For a Gold ticket
(between the 22s) supporters will pay only $15, while the public will get Blue
tickets (Outside 22s) for $10. A children’s ticket (4 to 15 years old) will cost
$5 but will include the ability to redeem the ticket for a free food item from
the Stadium concession outlets.
In announcing the
new 2008 ticket prices BOPRU Chairman Bruce Cameron said “Our goal is to
encourage the Bay of Plenty community to really get behind the Steamers. We want
to provide the opportunity for the Steamers to be accessible to all the
community.” Cameron added “We believe the ticket prices will provide excellent
value for money.”
The Union has also
announced two membership opportunities. The Blue and Gold membership is for
individuals, families or small businesses while the Bay Proud Business package
also enables small businesses to support the Bay.
Commercial Manager
Dirk Merwe said “The Bay Proud Business package is targeted at the large number
of small businesses in the Bay who may want to get involved but historically
haven’t had the opportunity to do so. In addition the Blue and Gold membership
means our loyal supporters have the chance to feel more part of the team.”
The Steamers first
home game of the 2008 Air New Zealand is against Counties at Rotorua
International Stadium on the 9 August.
