In this time when our Holy Father the Pope is in a serious condition and the All Mighty Ormond is playing fantastic rugby, I feel it is my duty to repent and confess my sins. Yes, I was an Auckland Supporter. I seek your forgiveness and the forgiveness of the rest of the BOP Mafia.

If I may first explain. Please, this is no excuse but it was due to my upbringing. Yes, my parents led me down the path of supporting that team over the Bombays. Alas, we no longer speak!!

But Ormond willing I believe I have seen the light.  I was first introduced to the Blue and Golds by one of your most fervent supporters,
Kelsen Butler.  My only hope is that Kelsen receives a prominent place in Mafia supporters heaven at the right hand of our lord, Ormond.  I also must confess that I took the piss out of Kelsen and have done for some time with regards to the Shield challenge at Eden Park on that dark day all those years ago.

I have sleepless nights thinking about that but I know I can redeem myself. You see, I have been reborn, and can only hope that I can follow in Kelsen's footsteps to be a great BOP Mafia supporter. It will be hard, I have a long way to go but with the support of the BOP Mafia I know that I WILL succeed.

I have started by organising 6 people for the trip to Christchurch to see the mighty BOP team take back what is rightfully theirs, the BOP Ranfurly Shield!

I have another confession, one that I am not proud of but hopefully you will see how committed I am to the cause. I invited a Waikato supporter to view history being made,  but felt that he wasn't worthy.  He was my best man at my wedding and I at his, but I have banished him from my life as he is not worthy.  He didn't want to wear the Blue and Gold shirt of the BOP Mafia at Christchurch. For this, he will never been forgiven.

I see the mighty trip in August as my true baptism. Yes, my life is about to begin.  Hail the Mighty Ormond.

Thank you for leading me down this path, a path that can only lead to salvation.

Your humble BOP Mafia supporter and and ex sinner (Ak supporter)

 Glenn.
