Ormond and Hubbard named for King Country
Written by Kiwi Pie
Wednesday, 20 July 2011

It is 2004 all over again and one of favourite sons, Wayne Ormond, is back in big-time New Zealand rugby. Well not quite the big time but he has been named for King Country in their squad for the Heartland Championship. Presumably the Steamers could have picked him up but our loose forward stocks are looking very strong these days and our young rising stars are being given their chance.

Charlie Hubbard has also been named for King Country. Charlie didn't play many games for the Bay but did score the crucial try that took us to the NPC semi-finals when he had to cover for the injured Kevin Senio and Ruki Tipuna.
