Amazing news today to hear that one test All Black Lelia Masaga has chosen to join the Bay for the next 2 seasons. There were strong rumours for a while that he was going to move to Waikato so it is quite a coup for us - and keeps Masaga in the Chiefs region. A back three of Masaga, Hona and Arnold looks appealing with Smith and MacDonald also competing.

Brett Mather and Daniel Waenga have also signed to bolster the midfield backs. Mather has been with Otago for a while and is a hard-running centre. Waenga was squeezed out from Hawke's Bay last season but could be good backup especially if Delany gets an All Black squad spot next year.
