Tanerau Latimer has taken the first step towards becoming an All Black, being named in the wider training squad of 25.

Selection for the tour is not guaranteed though as Scott Waldrom is also named and you would expect only one of them will travel as open-side cover for Richie McCaw. Here's hoping Lats makes the cut.
