The absolute Jolly Rodgering of Ferret Foster and his troops has led the NZRFU to consider a drastic plan to ensure that the BOP Mafia is not tainted with any shame of being remotely connected to the Chiefs. The match in Newcastle on Friday night exceeded everyone’s worse fears with the Chiefs losing 85 –19. Billed as a trial it was an absolute spanking with Ferret Foster saying, "His team was given a lesson".
It would have been nice to have a full squad of 28, but we knew what we were getting into and it was a very valuable workout for us" Foster said
Sources tell us that this invaluable lesson has led the NZRFU to accept the plan placed forward by Drago of BOP Mafia where the Chiefs will be disbanded immediately and replaced by ‘The MUTTS’ based out of Tauranga. To be captained by Josh Kronfield, this team will poach the best talent worldwide, take over the leftovers from Oz to save the Super 12 becoming the Super 14 and of course have a backbone of the Steamers players. It will enter into a joint arrangement with the Victoria Rugby Union where they provide a huge amount of dosh in return for the BOP Mafia ensuring that John O’Neil never steps into Melbourne again and that the BOP Mafia set up a branch in Melbourne. There will also be a couple of games there as with the proceeds being used to expand BayPark.
In other moves the BOP Mafia becomes the official supporters club of the MUTTS with Hori BOP being the official mascot. Other players who are already believed to have signed are Martin Johnson (came out of retirement when he knew he could play rugby at Mt Maunganui), a number of the French team who are surfers, Doug Howlett (lots of opportunities for photos of him without his shirt on while training at the beach) and of course Byron and Tom.
The official spokesperson of the BOP Mafia made the comment that the results on the field had always meant that the Chiefs are a non–entity – now it is official!
