John Moore brought up 50 games for the Bay on Friday night against Hawke's Bay. After debuting in 2000, John saw limited game time once Sorenson and Upton took over locking duties. He played briefly overseas but was back in blue and gold in 2007 after both Sorenson and Upton left the province. Last season was a struggle for the whole pack but this year Moore and Retallick have been a major force in our rise to the top four. John follows his father to 50 caps for the Steamers and he always gives 100% for the Bay cause.
