The BOP Mafia would like to congratulate the following Bay of Plenty players for their recent selections.

Junior All Blacks - Bernie Upton and Jamie Nutbrown.
NZ Maori - Tanerau Latimer and Anthony Tahana.
NZ Colts - Matt Wallis, Lance McDonald and Solomon King.
Tonga - Aleki Lutui and Nili Latu.
Samoa - Garrick Cowley.

The Mafia also wonders what more Simms Davison and Ben Castle could have done to get selected but appreciates that at least they will be fresh to play for the Bay!

Hori BOP not made of steel
Newsflash

Monday, 10 April 2006

Contrary to popular opinion, the BOP Mafia can confirm that, at this point in time, Hori BOP has not signed up to play Steely Dan in the 2006 season. Rumours have abounded since a radio programme featuring a former BOP sponsor in which he "announced" the major signing for Counties-Manukau.

There is a strong rumour that Hori will be present during Saturday's Chiefs game at Blue Chip stadium.
