They haven't come off completely but there's a definite wobble in the wheels of the Bay of Plenty rugby team.
The Steamers went down 26-17 to a fired up Otago side at Carisbrook on Saturday night, completing their third away loss of the season and slipping them back to fourth spot.

Otago has reached the point in their season where they can stop worrying about the semi-finals - although they could still make the top 4, they can only get a maximum of 39 points and that may still not be enough. But they do have 4 home games to come and will be seeing a path to a few wins and mid-table respectability. This has the smell of a dangerous game for the Bay especially if Otago get an early lead and a bit of confidence. Burman in for Moore the only change to the starting XV.
Toby Arnold, Nigel Hunt, Wayne Hughson, Phil Burleigh, Jason Hona, Mike Delany, Junior Poluleuligaga, Colin Bourke (captain) Luke Braid, Zac Hohneck, Culum Retallick, Mark Burman, James McGougan, John Pareanga, Joe Savage.
Reserves: Dean Elmiger, Josh Hohneck, John Moore, Matt Henwood, Ben Smith, Cory Aporo, Zar Lawrence.

Geoff and Nicky Oliver spent a month last year chasing the All Blacks around Europe, so a quick jaunt to Dunedin this weekend is child's play.
The avid Bay of Plenty fans have joined a handful of supporters heading down to watch the Steamers play Otago tomorrow night, as Bay's new supporter's club starts to spread its tentacles.

The Tasman game was a feisty one and it was a relief to escape with the points. When we were down to 13 players including both of our outstanding loose forwards, the Fan was beginning to think it was going to be one of those nights. Tasman looked bereft of attacking ideas with a half-back who could have brewed a cup of tea in the time he took to clear the ball. But the Bay couldn’t put them away until late in the game, some lovely sweeping backline moves always ended with a dropped ball and a Tasman counter attack.

I am starting a Phil Burleigh fan club. (PBFC)
I have never been in a fan club before because they are for sad twats with no life... but ignoring that unfortunate consequence.. I am starting a fan club.
As the founder, I am allowed to make the rules of the club. They are..
1/ No forwards are allowed, they smell funny, dont know how to gel hair and think group hugs are cool... plus they never bring good looking chicks to parties. Forwards can only ever be associate members, never full members.
