Colin Bourke Injured
Written by Kiwi Pie
Thursday, 09 December 2010

bourke_baabaasColin Bourke played for the Barbarians against South Africa in England at the weekend but went off injured early on with a suspected dislocated shoulder. It was a great honour for Colin to be selected as an uncapped player after a stellar season for the Bay and hopefully this injury doesn't mean his 2011 season for the Chiefs is already over.

The photo shows Colin after the game celebrating the Barbaas victory by 26-20. For the game, he wore odd socks, one representing Bay of Plenty and the other representing Mount Maunganui.

The Barbarians line-up was

Barbarians: James O'Connor (Aus); Joe Rococoko (NZ), Adam Ashley-Cooper (Aus), Ma'a Nonu (NZ), Drew Mitchell (Aus), ; Matt Giteau (Aus, capt), Will Genia (Aus); Salvatore Perugini (It), Stephen Moore (Aus), Neemia Tialata (NZ), Anton van Zyl (Stormers), Chris Jack (NZ), Rodney So'oialo (NZ), Martyn Williams (Wales), Colin Bourke (Bay of Plenty).

Replacements: Keven Mealamu (NZ), John Yapp (Wales), Quintin Geldenhuys (It), Daniel Braid (NZ), Andy Ellis (NZ), Stephen Donald (NZ), Seru Rabeni (Fiji)
