Bay hammer Counties
Written by Kiwi Pie
Sunday, 17 September 2006

Bay of Plenty 38 (Nili Latu, Hayden Reid, Aaron Rameka, Murray Williams tries; Williams 4pen 2con) Counties 11 (James Maher try; Blair Feeney pen, Troy Nathan pen). HT: 8-11.

After a stuttering first half where we gifted Counties a charge-down try, we sparked to life in the second forty to register a comfortable win and a bonus point. Delany is injured so Williams started in the 10 jersey and played a mighty second half, sealed by a kick and regather for a last minute try. Reid started at full-back and was also excellent, also great games by Davison, Sorenson, Latu, Aporo and Tahana.

See you all at 6 o'clock on Friday evening when a win against Hawke's Bay should put us into the quarter finals.
