Bay crashes to Taniwha 17-24
Written by Kiwi Pie

That was dreadful. A self-destructing line-out and easy penalties being missed and we went down to a last minute try from Northland. We led 14-9 at half-time slightly against the run of play, courtesy of a superb individual try by Williams and a late try to Schuster. We then dominated the first 20 minutes of the second half but Williams missed 2 easy penalties and eventually we were made to pay. Northland scored their first try to go 17-14 up following a long build up after we lost a line-out in their 22. After missing another penalty, Williams finally landed one to level the scores. With a minute left, we lost yet another line-out and Northland stretched our defence to get the winning try.
