Battle of the Bays
Written by Kiwi Pie

Another weekend, another must win game for the Steamers. It is hard to imagine the Steamers losing tonight's game and still making the top 4 and with Hawke's Bay just a point ahead, we absolutely must win tonight's game. Luke Braid is suspended for a couple of games which will be advantageous if we win the games and he has a rest before the semi-finals. Luckily Latimer is back from the All Blacks to take over open-side duties. Pareanga is back in for Elmiger and Moore starts again, it looks like Burman just isn't justifying a starting spot. In the backs, Hunt is back to his best position at centre with Smith on the right wing and Arnold at full-back.

Toby Arnold, Ben Smith, Nigel Hunt, Phil Burleigh, Jason Hona, Mike Delany, Junior Poluleuligaga, Colin Bourke (captain) Tanerau Latimer, Zac Hohneck, Culum Retallick, John Moore, James McGougan, John Pareanga, Joe Savage.
Reserves: Dean Elmiger, Josh Hohneck, Mark Burman, Matt Henwood, Josh Hall, Cory Aporo, Zar Lawrence.
