Bay Of Plenty Steamers Head Coach, Kevin Schuler and his Assistant, Steve Miln, have named their 2008 Air New Zealand Cup Squad.
The selection of the Steamers squad follows an extensive off season training program, which included the Bay of Plenty Sub Union series, and the recently completed Wasps and Bay XV fixtures.

The Squad will assemble on Monday 23 June and will have an official team launch at the Papamoa Tavern on Friday 27 June.
The Squad will prepare for pre season fixtures against;
• Manawatu at FMG Stadium, Palmerston North on the 11 July
• North Harbour at Bay Park, Mt Maunganui on the 18 July
• Waikato at Waikato Stadium, Hamilton on the 24 July
The Steamers launch the 2008 Air New Zealand Cup competition with an away match to Tasman on Thursday 31 July in Blenhiem.
Steamers Head Coach Herb Schuler said “We have challenged our players during the off season to raise their physical and mental application. We are encouraged with what we have seen at training and in recent games. We are confident that the players selected will do the Bay Proud.”
